John P. Jansen
jansenJohn P. Jansen began practicing law in New Jersey in 1977 after receiving his B.A. from Villanova University (Political Science) and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Early in his career, Mr. Jansen served as associate attorney for the Borough of Oakland and the Townships of Denville, Parsippany-Troy Hills, Randolph and Washington (Morris). Later he served as municipal attorney for the Boroughs of Netcong and Mendham. He currently represents the Townships of Boonton, Denville and Washington (Morris) as municipal attorney. His practice is limited to municipal land use and general municipal law.

Mr. Jansen is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys, where he has served as a Trustee for a number of years. He is currently Of Counsel at Dorsey & Semrau, LLC in Boonton, New Jersey.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Jansen has been actively involved in the community, including as a member of a volunteer fire department for over 45 years, Chair of the Saint Clare’s Harvest Festival, Chair of the Morris Catholic Education Council, a board member of the Saint Mary’s Prep Endowment Fund and as a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
