Dominic P. DiYanni
diyanniDominic P. DiYanni, Esq. is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT where he concentrated in tax and a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where he studied political science. Mr. DiYanni joined the firm of Davenport & Spiotti as a partner in December, 2011 where he focuses his practice on property tax appeals, municipal court matters, local government law and civil litigation. Mr. DiYanni has knowledge and experience in the areas of residential, commercial and industrial tax appeals, municipal and land use law, Open Public Records Act issues (OPRA), the Local Public Contracts Law, Pay-to-Play, Local Lands and Buildings Law, prosecutes and defends Orders to Show Cause, engages in extensive motion practice, drafts and reviews bid specifications, and prepares Resolutions and Ordinances and any amendments thereto. In addition, Mr. DiYanni has civil litigation experience with the New Jersey Superior Court in the Law Division (including small claims and special civil part matters) as well as the Chancery and Family Divisions. He has successfully litigated cases not only for private clients but also for the Morris County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, Environmental Joint Insurance Fund and Municipal Excess Liability Fund. Mr. DiYanni was a former senior associate at the Law Firm of Dorsey & Semrau where he worked exclusively and extensively with local governments as municipal attorney or in defending the local government units through the aforementioned insurance funds. Furthermore, Mr. DiYanni has also successfully defended and argued appeals in the Appellate Division of the State of New Jersey. He currently serves as counsel to Franklin Township Fire District No. 1 in Somerset County, New Jersey. Mr. DiYanni is a husband and devoted father of one.
