Samantha J. Castrelos

Samantha Castrelos is honored to be named as a Trustee representing Union County for the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys (NJILGA). Samantha currently serves as Special Counsel for the City of Elizabeth, where she advises on various matters of local government law. She also represents the City’s Council, ABC Board, and Fair Rental Housing Board. Previously, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Linda E. Mallozzi, J.S.C., Family Division, Chancery Part, in Union County. Samantha is a graduate of Montclair State University, with BA degrees in English Literature and French, and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University), with a concentration in International Law. She is affiliated with the Union County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Besides her role as a Trustee, Samantha also serves as an Assistant Editor for the NJILGA Law Review.
