Kristina P. Hadinger

Kristina P. Hadinger Is the first woman to serve as President and Trustee of the Institute. Ms. Hadinger graduated cum laude from McDaniel College in 1976, and earned her law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University in 1979. Following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Thomas DeMartin, J.S.C., she entered private practice concentrating continuously in local government, land use and real estate law. After joining Mason, Griffin & Pierson in Princeton in 1983, she was named a partner in 1985. She became a shareholder/director with the firm and served on its Executive Committee. Ms. Hadinger served as the Township Attorney for Montgomery, Delaware and Clinton Townships for, respectively, 34, 14 and 11 years, among other appointments. She has been an instructor for the Institute’s Diplomate in Municipal Law Program, associate editor for the Municipal Law Review, instructor for the NJ League of Municipalities, and also served as Deputy, Assistant & Associate Counsels to the League. She is the recipient of the Michael A. Pane Award for Ethics in Municipal Government, the Fred G. Stickel Award for Excellence in Municipal Law & Service to the Legal Profession, and the Somerset County Outstanding Woman in the Field of Law award. Though retired, Ms. Hadinger remains deeply committed to the Institute’s purposes of promoting education and professionalism among local government attorneys.
